Going Global: Archbishop Cushley makes special EWTN appearance
Archbishop Leo Cushley of St Andrews & Edinburgh featured as a special guest on EWTN’s News Nightly 12 January.
The daily news programme is broadcast from the EWTN News HQ in Washington DC and is anchored by veteran journalist Brian Patrick. He was keen to draw upon Archbishop Cushley’s experience as a senior Vatican diplomat in order to discuss Pope Francis's visit to Sri Lanka and the Philippines. The two men also chatting about the Catholic Church in Scotland's ambitions for a New Evangelisation and the Archbishop's opinion of the Scottish independence referendum.

ST ANDREW'S DAY VESPERS: The Solemnity of St Andrew saw the priests of the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh gather to pray at St Margaret's Chapel in Edinburgh.
Led by Archbishop Leo Cushley, the clergy spent time in silent prayer before Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament before concluding with the recitation of vespers and benediction.

PRIMARY PILGRIMAGE MEETS ARCHBISHOP CUSHLEY
Nearly 60 primary school children from Livingston made a pilgrimage to Edinburgh – to mark their reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation – which concluded with a special question-and-answer session with Archbishop Leo Cushley.

“The thing that struck me about them was how grown up their questions were,” said the Archbishop Cushley following the lively encounter at the Gillis Centre, the Archdiocesan headquarters Wednesday 5 November.
